Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson has commended Karpowership Ghana for its contribution to the country’s electricity generation and efforts to support the stability of the national grid.
The Minister was speaking during a working visit to the company’s floating power generation facility, the Karadeniz Powership Osman Khan, in Takoradi.
The visit offered the Minister and his delegation an opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the operations of the Powership and the role Karpowership continues to play in supporting Ghana’s power supply.
During a guided tour of the facility, the delegation was taken through various aspects of the vessel’s operations, including the technology, processes and expertise that underpin its electricity generation activities.
The Minister also engaged management on the company’s operations in the Western Region and its broader impact on the communities within which it operates.

“Karpowership’s operations demonstrate the important role that reliable and efficient power generation plays in supporting Ghana’s economic development. We are pleased to see the level of professionalism and operational standards being maintained at the facility, as well as the company’s contribution to the power sector and its engagements within the Western Region,” he said.
