Ghana is set to host senior government officials, policymakers and public sector leaders from across Africa as the 7th Africa Public Sector Conference (APSCA 2026) returns to Accra from October 14 to 16, 2026.

The three-day conference is expected to attract more than 400 delegates from over 10 African countries, including Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Botswana, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Liberia and Zimbabwe.

To be held under the theme, “Governance 2030: Resilient Institutions for a Digital, Green & Secure Africa,” the event will focus on governance reforms, public sector transformation, innovation and institutional development across the continent.

Organisers have confirmed that Kenya and Nigeria will lead some of the most prominent delegations attending the conference.

Kenya’s delegation will be headed by Hon. Felix Koskei, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service of the Republic of Kenya, alongside senior government officials and leaders of public institutions.

According to organisers, the East African country is expected to be represented by chief executives and managing directors of state-owned enterprises, policymakers and other senior public sector figures.

Kenya will also participate in the Made in Africa Festival, a flagship exhibition being held alongside the conference, where participating countries will showcase public sector innovations, technological advancements and institutional achievements.

Nigeria is also expected to have a significant presence at APSCA 2026, with Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, National Chairman of Nigeria’s All Progressives Congress (APC), leading a delegation comprising governors, ministers, directors-general and chief executives from public institutions.

Prof. Yilwatda is expected to deliver a keynote address titled “The Party as Platform: How Governing Parties Can Architect Digital, Green and Secure Governance for 2030.”

Speaking ahead of the conference, he said the event would provide a platform to share Nigeria’s governance and development journey.

“The APSCA platform will provide an opportunity to articulate Nigeria’s governance and development experience under the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, particularly the institutional and structural reforms being pursued under the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.

The conference marks APSCA’s return to Ghana after four years and is expected to bring together ministers, heads of public service, chief executives of state institutions, regulators, development partners and private sector leaders.

Chief Executive Officer and Founder of InstinctWave Group, Akin Naphtal, said the event would create opportunities for practical collaboration among African leaders and institutions.

“APSCA 2026 is bringing together some of the people, institutions and ideas shaping Africa’s future. With high-level delegations from Kenya, Nigeria and other African countries expected in Accra, this year’s conference will provide an important opportunity for leaders to move beyond dialogue and share practical experiences, build stronger partnerships and explore solutions that can be adapted across the continent,” he said.

APSCA 2026 will feature 12 specialised forums covering key areas including governance, women in the public sector, energy, procurement, public finance, trade, digital government, education, public-private partnerships, ESG and sustainability, customer experience, and youth empowerment.

Organisers say the forums are designed to stimulate discussions on policy development, institutional strengthening and sustainable growth across Africa.

A major highlight of the conference will be the Made in Africa Festival, which will serve as an exhibition platform for governments, development institutions and private sector organisations.

The festival is expected to showcase African innovation, infrastructure development, technology solutions, investment opportunities and public sector transformation initiatives, while creating opportunities for engagement between governments, investors and businesses across the continent.
