Rev. Dr. (H.C.) Christian Kwetey Kweitsu receives ‘100 African Most Influential’ honours in Kigali

Chief Executive Officer of KRISPAT Hearing Centre, Rev. Dr. (H.C.) Christian Kwetey Kweitsu, has been honoured at the 3rd Edition of the 100 African Most Influential Awards, held in Kigali, Rwanda, in recognition of his longstanding contribution to audiology and his efforts to improve the lives of people living with hearing challenges in Ghana and beyond.

The prestigious awards ceremony took place on September 25, 2026, at the M Hotel in Kigali, bringing together distinguished professionals, business leaders, entrepreneurs and other personalities from across Africa.

Rev. Dr. (H.C.) Christian Kwetey Kweitsu received his award during the ceremony, with the prestigious honour being presented to him by Father Campbell.

The recognition celebrates his more than 20 years of experience in the field of audiology, both in Ghana and abroad, as well as his continued commitment to creating greater awareness around hearing health and supporting individuals living with hearing challenges.

As the CEO of KRISPAT Hearing Centre, with facilities in Accra and branches in Tema and Takoradi, Rev. Dr. (H.C.) Kweitsu has dedicated much of his professional career to hearing care and helping individuals with hearing difficulties access the support and solutions they need.

His contribution extends beyond clinical practice. He is also the author of Hearing Aids, a book written to educate the general public about hearing challenges, some of their causes, possible preventive measures and the role hearing aids can play in helping people with hearing loss maintain productive, fulfilling and enjoyable lives.

The international recognition in Kigali therefore adds another significant milestone to a career built around professional service, public education and advocacy for improved hearing health.

Following the presentation of the award, Rev. Dr. (H.C.) Kweitsu expressed his appreciation for the recognition, describing it as an encouragement to continue contributing to the well-being of people and the development of society.

He also used the occasion to encourage Ghanaians not to underestimate the value of their individual contributions to national development.

According to him, people should remain committed to serving their communities and making a positive difference, regardless of how small their efforts may initially appear, noting that dedication and service can eventually receive recognition.

The 100 African Most Influential Awards is powered by The Business Executive and the International Business Council (IBC) in collaboration with the African Chamber for Trade (ACT). The awards recognise individuals whose professional contributions and service have made an impact within their respective sectors and communities across Africa.
