The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has reiterated its commitment to providing efficient, transparent and responsive regulatory support to investors as Puma Energy strengthens its presence in Ghana’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sector.
The assurance was given when a delegation from Pumagas, led by Puma Energy General Manager Lanzeni Coulibaly, paid a courtesy visit to the NPA Chief Executive, Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., on Monday.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the company to formally introduce Pumagas, a subsidiary of Puma Energy, together with some of its key distributors and dealers.
During the engagement, the delegation presented the company’s new branded cylinders to Mr Tameklo. The cylinders form part of Pumagas’ efforts to deepen its participation in Ghana’s Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM).
The CRM is designed to improve access to LPG through the circulation and exchange of cylinders, rather than requiring consumers to refill their own cylinders at retail outlets.
Speaking during the visit, Mr Tameklo said the NPA remained committed to supporting legitimate operators and creating an enabling environment for sustainable investment in the downstream petroleum industry.
He said the Authority would continue to provide regulatory guidance to help industry players operate within the relevant framework while supporting the development of the sector.
Puma Energy’s engagement with the NPA comes as the company continues to expand its involvement in the LPG market, including through the CRM initiative.
