Ghana’s efforts to attract foreign investment and accelerate economic transformation will take centre stage in Toronto, Canada, as business leaders, investors and policymakers gather for the 2026 Ghana-Canada Investment Forum on June 15.
The forum, scheduled to take place at the Westin Harbour Castle Conference Centre in Ontario, is expected to strengthen economic ties between Ghana and Canada while highlighting emerging opportunities across key sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
A major focus of this year’s event will be the government’s flagship 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+), which aims to stimulate industrial growth, expand exports, increase productivity and create sustainable jobs. Canadian investors and businesses will have the opportunity to explore how they can participate in the initiative through strategic partnerships and investment collaborations.
The event is being organised by Stratcomm Africa in partnership with Toronto-based Kwakaf International, with support from the 24-Hour Economy Secretariat and the Ghana Tourism Authority. Organisers say the forum forms part of broader efforts to advance the government’s Reset Agenda and position Ghana as a preferred investment destination in Africa.
Chief of Staff Julius Debrah will attend as Special Guest of Honour, while the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is expected to chair the event. Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Gyakye Quayson will deliver the keynote address.
One of the key attractions will be a Deal Room Session facilitated by ThirdWay Capital, a Canadian impact investment firm with a strong focus on supporting growth-oriented businesses across Sub-Saharan Africa. The session will provide a platform for direct engagement between investors, business executives and senior government officials, with the objective of unlocking new investment opportunities and strengthening commercial partnerships.
Lead sponsor Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) says its support for the forum reflects its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, investment and private sector-led growth in Ghana.
Organisers also note that the event coincides with activities surrounding the FIFA World Cup, presenting an additional opportunity to showcase Ghana’s investment potential to a wider international audience.
Speaking ahead of the forum, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, Esther A. N. Cobbah expressed optimism about the prospects for deeper economic collaboration between the two countries.
“There are tremendous opportunities to build on the longstanding relationship between Ghana and Canada. This forum provides an important platform to strengthen partnerships that can drive trade, investment and sustainable economic growth,” she said.
The forum is expected to bring together a diverse range of stakeholders from both countries to explore new business opportunities, promote innovation and support long-term economic development.
