The Ghana-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and Inter Tourism Expo Accra (INTTA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Accra on 5 October 2026 to promote trade, tourism and investment between Ghana and New Zealand.

The agreement was signed by Isaac Koumessina, Executive Director of the Chamber, and Emmanuel Treku, Chairman of INTTA. It covers business introductions, trade missions and joint programmes to help companies in both countries find partners and explore new markets.

The two organisations plan to begin their collaboration at the 2026 Inter Tourism Expo Accra. The Chamber will participate as a strategic institutional partner and work through its networks to identify New Zealand businesses and investors interested in opportunities in Ghana.

INTTA will help connect the Chamber with Ghanaian businesses, project owners and institutions. Areas of cooperation include tourism and hospitality, agribusiness, the events industry and innovation.

Koumessina said the agreement would give the Chamber another way to connect its members and contacts with business opportunities in Ghana. He said the focus would be on relevant introductions and business discussions that could lead to lasting partnerships.

“We see this MoU as a framework for long-term cooperation,” he said.

Mr. Treku said the partnership would support INTTA’s efforts to bring international businesses and investors into closer contact with Ghanaian enterprises.

“We will support the Chamber with access to relevant Ghanaian tourism, business, investment and institutional stakeholders, while creating platforms for New Zealand investors and businesses to engage with Ghanaian counterparts,” he said.

Beyond this year’s expo, the organisations intend to work together on trade missions, investment forums and knowledge exchange programmes. Each will appoint a contact person to coordinate activities and follow up on agreed plans.
