NPA receives ultra-modern drivers rest stop from Rock Africa

A diversified services company, Rock Africa, with specialties in supply chain and logistics, engineering and plants process has donated an ultra-modern Tanker Drivers Park to the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), at the BOST Kumasi Depot in the Ashanti Region.

The facility offers a place of rest and rejuvenation and is intended to support the welfare, operations and safety of fuel tanker drivers in the region.

Receiving the facility, Chief Executive of the NPA, Mr Godwin Tameklo Esq, expressed gratitude for the benevolence and noted that, the facility will re-write the unpleasant narrative of drivers and their mates stopping to rest on the shoulders of roads when tired.

He called on petroleum industry players to emulate the example of Rock Africa.

The Chief Executive of Rock Africa, Mr Francis Gavor reiterated the company’s commitment to improving the working conditions of drivers.

Chairman of the Tanker Drivers Union, Mr George Nyaunu, at the handing over ceremony, pledged on behalf of the drivers to maintain the facility with the highest standards.
